We asked for a accurate performance from the Springboks and they delivered for 80 minutes. I don’t know if we really understand what a brilliant game this was from the Springboks against the All Blacks on Saturday night in Nelspruit.

Beating the All Blacks 26-10 speaks volume of this team and the coaching staff who have given us a test match with not just dominance in the set pieces but also winning the small battles easily.

From the start the Springboks just dominate the All Blacks giving them nothing to play with and forced them to make tackle after tackle.

When you force a quality team like the All Blacks to put in the tackles and starve them from ball to play their own game then you know that your game plan is working.

Nienaber and his staff has outsmarted and out played the All Blacks on Saturday. The defence was massive and they never let up. Even after 70 minutes we still saw bone crushing tackles coming in from the Boks.

The All Blacks never got into this one and that is due to some brilliant in-your-face play from the Springboks.

There was so many outstanding performances from this Bok side but one has to mention Marx, Arendse, Hendrikse and Pollard.

Then you had guys like Siya who put a massive effort in on defence and in the battles on the ground.

This was one of the most clinical performances we have seen from the Boks in a very long time. They smuddered the All Blacks to submission and just never let go.

What was so impressive from this Springbok display was the fact that the All Blacks never asked any questions of the Springboks.

At some stages in this game the men in black looked clueless with ball in hand and one could not comprehend how such a rugby rich country could fall so far behind the rest of the top nations.

It is now five losses in their last six test matches and the calls from Ian Foster will come loud and hard after this one.

It was a massive effort from the Springboks backs that dominate the New Zealanders from the first minute of the game.

The game started with Faf de Klerk getting a knee to the head in a tackle and being carrier off the field. It did not look good for the World Cup scrum half but after a few minutes he was walking down the field waving to the crowd.

He was replaced by Jaden Hendrikse who in my mind put a player of the match performance together. He service was brilliant and his kicking game put plenty of pressure on the All Blacks.

The Boks scored first in the ninth minute when Arendse went over for the first try of the match and an early lead for the Springboks.

It was that man Am that showed his magic to send Arendse over.

Pollard added the extras and he added another penalty later to extend the lead to 10-0.

The Springboks were unlucky not to add more to their score as they dominated the game and played in for most of the half in the All Blacks twenty two.

The All Blacks did manage to get a penalty over to open their scoring in the 36th minute of the game.

The All Blacks tried to speed up the game in the second half with some success but the Springboks defence was massive and even the smallest chances the All Blacks created came to nothing.

Pollard extended the Boks lead in the 51st minute of the match with another penalty

He extended the lead further when he knocked over a drop goal after the Boks pinned the All Blacks again down in their own twenty two.

The Springboks then were reduced to 14 men when Arendse was send off with a red card after playing Barrett in the air. It was a clear red card and was unfortunate for a player who had such a good game for the Springboks.

In the 79th minute Frizell crossed for a consolation try after Clarke did well with a barnstorming run in the build-up.

The Springboks had the last say when they tried to run out of their own twenty two and Le Roux got a foot to a loose pass to dribble the ball over the line for the Springboks second try of the match and a great win over the All Blacks.

This was a massive result for the Springboks which left the All Blacks with even more questions on their game and plan as a team to get out of his hole they found themselves in.
