I have a bad feeling going into the Nelspruit test match against the All Blacks this weekend. Throughout the past two weeks we have heard all over that the All Blacks are in trouble and that the Springboks will take them in the two test matches coming up.

Opinion: Jacques Nortier

I fail to understand where this is coming from. The All Blacks played against one of the inform teams in the world in July and loss 2-1.

Ireland outsmarted the All Blacks and deserve the wins and that is rugby at this level, the margins is very small but compare that to our test series against Wales, I do not understand why we are suddenly in some peoples eyes the favorites to win these two test.

History will show that since Rassie and Jacques took over the management of the Boks that there have not been much between the sides and this next two weekends will not be different.

The last two test matches was decided by two penalties kicks late in the game and as fans we can expect the same.

I am worried on the form of the Springboks at the moment. We did not dominate the set pieces against Wales and we struggled with our driving maul.

This is where Ireland build their victories on and at the moment I see this aspect of the game between the two side as even.

Wales scored tries and were great on attack which also put some question marks on out defense not being up there where we know it should be.

In the backs we loss Kolbe and although Arendse is a great prospect for the future he will be under huge pressure this weekend.

Looking at the rest of the backs the only player that stood out for me was Damien Willemse, the rest was far off the quality we know they can bring to the park.

We left plenty of points on the field with poor place kicking and we only looked good in patches during the series on attack.

Don’t get me wrong, we have the players who has done it all for us before but my worry is that they are not at their best the same the All Blacks struggled to play as a team for 80 minutes.

A lot could have happen in the Springbok camp since the Wales test and lest hope it did, but then the All Blacks have their media, fans against them and we can be sure as the sun will come up tomorrow they will come hard at us and will be better than they were against Ireland.

I am always very nervous when it comes to Springboks v All Blacks test matches and history will show that they win more than us in these clashes since the game turned professional.

Fans expectations should not be blinded what the so-called experts are saying about this All Black team, they are still quality and we will see exactly that this weekend.

I hope my gut is wrong and the Boks takes this weekend win but something scares me when it comes to a All Black team with their backs against the wall.
